Multiple government entities (usually at district and provincial levels) are often involved as affected or interested parties in the ESIA, depending on the nature and location of the project. These departments may include ministries responsible for environment, energy, mining, tourism, health, water, land, and natural resources. Their role is to ensure that the proposed development aligns with national policies, development plans, and legal frameworks. The consultant can organise for Key Informant Interviews with those governement officials in a quest to get their views. Upon request and depending on size of the project, they may be brought to the project site as delegates to scheduled stakeholders consultation meetings.
